Pine Tree Arch and Tunnel Arch
What to Expect
Safety Advisory
The sandy spur trails can be vague in spots where they cross slickrock — look for small cairns to stay on route, especially on the Tunnel Arch spur where a wrong turn puts you scrambling up loose terrain.
Summer surface temperatures on exposed sandstone regularly exceed what bare skin can handle — if you wouldn't walk on it barefoot, don't let kids sit on it.

Pro Tips
Hit these spurs on your way TO Landscape Arch, not on the return — by mid-morning the parking lot at Devils Garden fills completely, and you'll be too tired and hot to appreciate them on the way back.
Pine Tree Arch has a shallow alcove underneath that provides genuine shade — on a scorching summer day, it's one of the few natural rest stops in Devils Garden worth knowing about.
Shoot Pine Tree Arch from directly underneath looking up through the opening for a dramatic composition that most visitors miss — the trees frame the sky perfectly and the scale of the arch becomes obvious.
