Logging Creek
The Quick Take
Logging Creek is Glacier's version of a secret handshake — a handful of sites tucked along the Inside North Fork Road where the only traffic is the occasional deer and maybe one other camper who also knows what they're doing. With just a few primitive sites, no potable water, and access via a road that will rattle your fillings loose, this is not the campground for someone who wants convenience. What you get instead is genuine solitude on Glacier's quiet western flank, a short walk to the Logging Lake trailhead (an easy, gorgeous family hike), and the kind of silence that makes you realize how loud most campgrounds actually are. The fee is barely more than a fancy coffee. Choose Logging Creek if you want to feel like you have a corner of Glacier entirely to yourself — and you're willing to earn it.

Pro Tips
The Inside North Fork Road is unpaved and slow going — budget at least 45 minutes from Polebridge and do not even think about bringing a trailer or large RV. High clearance is not required but patience absolutely is.
There is no potable water here, so pack in everything you need. The Polebridge Mercantile, about nine miles north, sells supplies and their legendary huckleberry bear claws — stock up before you drop off the grid.
The hike to Logging Lake is one of Glacier's most underrated family-friendly trails — relatively flat, well-shaded, and far less crowded than anything on the Going-to-the-Sun Road corridor. Get on the trail early for the best chance at calm water and wildlife sightings.
